Submit

Thanks for your interest! We’re hard at work on the Issue 1 zine right now, so please note that response times will be delayed until the end of May. But feel free to continue submitting, and we’ll consider your pieces for Issues 3 and beyond.

Not sure what to submit? At South Hall Literary Magazine, we prioritize authenticity, experimentation, and polish. Send us something that you’re proud of, something that you believe needs to be heard, seen, and known.

    About you

You can submit a transcript, diploma, or graduation award.

Most file types accepted (including PDF). You may block out any information you deem unnecessary for verifying your graduation; keep in mind that, if your document has selectable text, it will not be enough to simply draw over it, at least digitally.

Remember to share your document so that it’s viewable to anyone with the link.

If you’re unable to verify via file or link, please explain below.

    General faff

If yes, we’ll send details later. Your response will have no bearing on whether we accept your work. (Here are some guidelines on getting good audio quality.)

We’ll notify you when new pieces go up on the website and whenever submissions open. No more than one email a week (if even that).

Thanks for entrusting your inbox to us. We’ll send a confirmation email sometime after you submit this form; please check it for instructions.

Would you like to specify what that “other” is? (optional)

Feel free to also include notes about your work, like formatting and content warnings.

    Please consent to the following

While you’re waiting for us to look at your work, you can fill out your bio. We’ll put your bio with everything we publish from you.

If we don’t accept your work, you’ll basically just be giving us your personal info with nothing in return, so feel free to bookmark the page and come back to it after we’ve sent you our decision. But if you’re worried you’ll forget—or you’re just ultra confident that we’ll accept your stuff—you can fill it out now.

(If you’ve already filled this out before, no need to do it again. Unless there’s something you want to update.)
